Founded in the mid 1990s Outtakes Ltd has a large portfolio of classic health and safety titles. Responding to a changing market in the mid 2000s Outtakes decided it was time to look at health and safety training from a new angle.

Whilst keeping the message strongly focused on health and safety we wanted to shift the onus to producing visually appealing, concise and ultimately entertaining films with broad appeal. Our new films have steered away from the dreary, lecturing tone of traditional health and safety titles.   Developing a young media-savvy team in-house enabled us to revolutionise our films integrating animation, interactive technology and games imagery. This expertise allows Outtakes to respond quickly and inexpensively to clients’ needs for bespoke material and customisation of generic products.

By collaborating with leading organisations, including the HSE, the GMB, Gamelab at London Metropolitan University, Sun Chemical, EDF Energy, Altro Group Plc, RNID and the BTA, and interviewing top experts Outtakes produces well-researched, topical films with strong contemporary safety messages.
