This film clip looks at the pressures and strains of working environments.

Chris Boynes, Chartered Physiotherapist, uses examples from sport to illustrate the constant pressures we put on our backs and encourages viewers to consider their work environment and the resulting strain. The film clip also provides positive suggestions to aid employees in protecting their back. 

The film clip can be provided on DVD or as an online file.

Chris Boynes is a Chartered Physiotherapist who works with athletes from a wide range of sports, including some aiming for the 2012 Olympics. He was Club Physiotherapist to London Irish RFC for 6 years and toured with the England U19 football team in 2009. He also lectures on sports injury and works closely with the Spinal Foundation treating patients suffering with back problems. (www.physioactive.com)

All of the clips, from our film Work and Sport: Musculoskeletal Disorders, give clear and entertaining guidance on how to avoid many of the common complaints – back pain, RSI’s etc.- that are the cause of so much discomfort and absence from work. They can be played in training sessions, communal areas – canteens, receptions, or sent to individuals via email or on your company intranet.
